April 9, 2016Mobile Beat last month was a great experience. Danielle & I spent nearly a week in Las Vegas attending #MBLV20 at the Tropicana Casino Hotel Resort.
Some of the seminars that we attended included: Motivation, Management, and Leadership Secret Sauce presented by Matt Radicelli, 5 Things You Can Do To Improve Your DJ Skills Starting Tomorrow! by Rob Peters, The Seven Obsessions of the Successful Mobile DJ by Robert Lindquist, Marketing the DJ Experience by Jon Taffer, If You Teach Them They Will Book by David Louis, Jim Cerone’s Behind the Scenes with the Perfect Host and High Standards, Big Results presented by Todd Mitchem.
After hours activities included the DJ Takeover sponsored by Peavey & Omez Lighting, Party Rockin At MBLV20 with Redfoo of LMFAO and the Fremont Street Experience in Downtown Las Vegas. We also got together with around 30 other DJs that were down there from Canada for a Canadian DJ Gathering at the Hard Rock Cafe.
Even though we were both taking notes diligently, we purchased recording of all the seminars so we can play them back to catch anything that we missed the first time around. We also purchased several books. Their training tools will allow us to become better people, DJs, MCs, and business owners.
After 4 intense days of learning, we rented a car and took a trip to the Hoover Dam, The Grand Canyon and the famous Route 66. We even had time to cruise the strip with the top down to really take it all in.
The professional development that we received at Mobile Beat should be a wise investment in ourselves and our business. We look forward to implementing what we have learned so our customers can have even better experiences!
