Stephen has been playing bagpipes for over 16 years.  He and his wife Ashley decided to include bagpipes in their wedding for both the ceremony and the reception this past weekend. The wedding party walked in to a bagpiper and celebrated after the ceremony with bagpipes for the recessional.  When it came to the grand entrance they chose to make a scene by entering bagpipes before having their first dance as husband and wife.

In order to have the newlyweds kiss, guests had to attempt to play Stephen’s bagpipes.  Stephen did a presentation explaining that all you had to do was, “blow, squeeze and finger.”  This was a big hit with the guests.

Once the dancing got underway, I decided to pull out the #1 rock & roll tune featuring bagpipes: AC/DC’s It’s a Long Way to the Top!  Needless to say, it didn’t take Stephen long to grab his bagpipes and get everyone’s attention.  He turned into a rockstar front and centre with all eyes on him!

This was definitely a first for me and it’s something that I’ll remember forever!  Congratulations Ashley & Stephen!  I’m glad that I could be part of your special day!

Would you like your wedding to be different and memorable too?  Let us know how we can help!
